Local Planning Applications
The Parish Council is a statutory consultee for
the purposes of The
Town and Country Planning Act 1990 which is the legislation governing all
development in England and Wales.
This means that all applications for planning permission are scrutinised and
commented on by the members of the Parish Council. We don't have the power to
approve or refuse an application; those powers are vested in the Planning
Authority (Herefordshire Council). Our role is consultative to provide valuable
local knowledge which helps in deciding whether applications comply with the
requirements of planning law, the local plan and other planning guidance.
The table below shows brief details of applications within the parish. Further
details on all applications can be obtained from the Parish Clerk. Letters are usually sent from the Herefordshire
Planning Office to premises likely to be affected by applications giving the
time scale and where letters of objection or approval can be addressed. Notices
are also sent to the applicants to be displayed out side the premises or site to
which the application refers. These notices must be displayed for a minimum of
three weeks.
